Greg's Beer Bread Recipe
Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 bottle (12 oz) beer (any variety)
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.
Add Beer: Pour the beer into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; do not overmix. The batter will be lumpy.
Transfer to Pan: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
Add Butter: Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the batter evenly.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cool: Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve: Slice and enjoy your beer bread warm or at room temperature.
Enjoy your homemade Greg's beer bread!
